Estrogen was formed in 1998, when friends and solo artists Corinne Curcio, Lori Muskat, and Carol Markowitz began writing and performing together. The trio realized that the lesbian community is a vibrant source of humor - from relationships to roles, hairstyles to heartbreak. The band has performed in various venues in the NYC area, including Fast Folk Cafe, Brooklyn Arts Exchange, Rising Cafe, Page One Cafe, and a benefit show for the Gay and Lesbian Switchboard of Long Island.
