Upon This YuleTide Eve
B.D Harpold aka Cltcgdss

Upon this Yuletide Eve
No sugarplum dreams for me
Of Santa and his sleigh
Or of gifts beneath the tree

Rather we'll pull on the warm stockings
And by candlelight we'll walk
Deep into the snow filled woodland
And with forest elves we'll talk

Within the Sacred Ring of Pines
Bathed in Winter's full moonlight
We'll light the Yule bonfire
To celebrate the Longest Night

Icicles they'll dangle,
Like ornaments in the trees.
The night wind will whisper
And send a gentle breeze

We'll decorate the altar
With red candles bright
Wreaths of mistletoe and holly
And garlands of starlight

And through the course of the Longest Night
We'll chant, dance, sing and pray
For the Mother to keep her promise
As foretold …
To return the gift of Day.
