"Jeneration III" By Jen C.

December 9

I wish I could
call you
on your birthday
first thing in the morning
and sing to you.
I would send flowers
to your office
and more to your house
just for good measure.
I would pick you up
after work
and blindfold you
kissing you
in your darkness
as we drove away.
I would have dinner with you
on a hilltop
overlooking a brilliant city skyline
as huge white snowflakes
drifted by the window.
I would hold your hand
and laugh with you
and give you
my heart
