I
HELD HER
I held her in my arms last night,
just like so many times before
gently caressing her back,
brushing away her fears and tears.
I kissed her neck, and whispered,
"I love you," all the truth in my heart.
And as she relaxed, I pressed on,
nuzzling my face in her neck with
my tongue tracing the curves there and
slowly, lingering here and there, slid it
down between her breasts and kissed the
space there. My mouth found those
glorious, brown sugar mountains, and
of their sweetness did I partake all I could.
And then her hands did guide my hungering
mouth beyond. And searching from side
to side and up and down, her belly and
her thighs, till finally I found the cache
of honey hid below the mound. I waited
not for a yes or no, but eagerly tasted
what lay inside. Then I did moan and
bury my face inside, enraptured by all
I had found. Her hands curled tightly
in my hair, did not need to hold me there.
Her body arching, swaying, rising to meet
my hungry lips. With sounds escaping
from
her, first soft and then louder. When
suddenly
her cries pierced the dark, and I shivered
in
pleasure- both hers and mine. I thirstily
drank
from love's fountain, there, just us in the
dark.
And then I held her in my arms again,
like so many nights gone by.
Just us - we two -
my love and I.
