My Road
As I lay here time is passing by before my eyes
...
yet I can't see it moving.
Crowded in my mind are past and future.
Does the present really exist?
Everyday I think where I want to be.
From my head I hear but an echo.
Gently my heart brings forth a melody.
Heart sounds dream to be reality.
I walk the lonely road called my life.
Just waiting to find it's true meaning.
Keeping dreams hidden for now.
Life knows it's own path it seems.
My dreams and life have yet to merge.
No way to know if they ever will.
Openly I keep traveling this road.
Perhaps only open to myself.
Questions and answers make up endless time.
Reaching for all that is yet unknown.
Surely I will feel from another
Tenderness like I wish to share.
Unity should not be a dream.
Visions of togetherness are bright.
Wandering down my road . . . . I wait.
