"Songs from Out of
the Southern Shadows"

How Will it End
It started like this.... with a soft morning smile
that brought reminisces of long faded pain.
With well chosen phrases and feminine cliches,
portends of something that’s starting again.

We danced with our words, adroitly sidestepping
the uppermost question alive in our hearts.
Is there someone, something, you’re maybe not telling?
Is the sum of the whole as big as the parts?

For me, the enticement of newly found courtship
is exciting, enchanting with a touch of romance
You’re older, wiser and just so alluring
Should I hide from this moment or run with the chance?

For you, is it thrilling, or your moment of weakness?
Your confidence twisting the signals you send.
The message is floating out there in the ether,
It’s not how it started, but how will it end?
