Everyday

Gravitational pull
Obscure anomaly
Radiant red sun orbiting just
outside of my atmosphere
During the day
beating warm down on my face
Hot kisses leaving skin burnt
At night I know you are there
Well hidden out of sight
Not a test
Little hope and lots of faith
So close yet so far away
Your intentions not to fill my head
with mangled catastrophes
but protect what deemed itself yours
Inhaling the darkness to slumber
Leaving footprints along my dreams.
