The Storm

When I was Small I was Often Afraid,
I had Only Myself for who only I Played.
When the Fear of a Storm became Haunting to Me,
I would think of a Story from my Own Creativity.

I did Survive the Lightening, the Thunder and the Rain,
All my Tribulations, yes I Know them All by Name.
To provide you now, with Something I have Gained,
Would be the Freedom of a Writer, and the Fun to do my thing.

You see the Rain, when it's in Heaven,
Is just God watering his Lovely Lawn.
                          Those Lights begin to Flicker,
Because the Cherubs have Turned them On.

When the Thunder begins to Rattle,
It's only God as if he's Warned,
                          Darn you Silly little Cherubs,
                      Leave those Light Switches Alone!
