In the vessel of scrutiny, I narrow my eyes,
This path I’ve traveled before.
Safely, so safely, I measure each step
Lest I walk the wrong path evermore.
For once in your arms I know of my weakness
I know of your charm and delight.
As if hypnotized, I grow ever closer,
Yet, my feet are still poised as in flight.
My life was beginning to take shape and luster,
Your sweet, sirens song had been hushed,
Then through a backdoor you once again entered,
Seducing, with desires hot flush
Cursing myself, for you are my illness,
I opened my ear to your voice,
Like a frightened rabbit my footsteps are stubborn.
To stand far away is my choice.
Its now at this moment I must determine,
If I succumb to your serpents call,
In a moment of strength, your spell has been broken,
How the mighty doth fall.
You broke my life in million pieces,
Then callously went on your way
And now your back to toy with my future,
A price I’m not willing to pay.
Go away, you disgust me, Go find your next victim,
I hope not as willing as I,
It gives me great pleasure to take time to tell you,
Don’t need you, Don’t want you, Goodbye!
