Seamstress of Love
Has let me wear
A texture cloth
Its color rare,
A pattern which
Many have sought
But many less
Have ever gotten

Sweet memory dances
Inside my head:
A bright shimmering
Of your silk thread,
Their highlights cast
Of a golden hue,
The stitches woven
Carefully through

Such a beautiful
Unique design,
Sewn in my heart
So firm and fine
Sewn in my soul
I can't forget
The shimmering
Its love beget

The eye of your needle
Now empty and bare,
I ask dear seamstress
If you've played fair:
Was the thread knotted
Upon the end…
With honest intent
To patch and mend?

Or would you unravel
All that silky thread,
Refusing 'love shimmers'
Through my life instead?
Will scissors soon snip
My heart all apart,
That you sewed together
With such a fine art?
