Earth Whispers

Lying on her soft forest green
Mother Earth whispers to me
as she cradles me in her arms

She welcomes me in her
sacredness
giving to me her gift
of energy to harness

She whispers to me
of her ageless wisdom
that can be found
everywhere within
her kingdom

She whispers to me in
sweet melody
of her ancient history

Taking my clothes off
to be naked
I move to a dance
that is scared

Rejoicing in my rebirth
and for all that I am worth
in this vast universe

Just as the clouds gather
in the sky to give her nurture
she in turn nurtures me
on this ground that is so holy

Mother Earth whispers to me
as she speaks to me of serenity,
of peace that flows like the river

She reminds me of all
life's treasures waiting for me
to be found in the beauty
that is around
